Estimator Exhibits

Role

The Estimator works collaboratively through the company to support the bidding process by our sales department by creating estimates and proposals for all our designs, projects, and services

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare written proposals.

  • Develop a detailed description of the project elements and services.

  • Create estimates from 3D Design and or blueprints.

  • Calculate exhibit element costs based on materials, supplies, and man-hour/labor.

  • Develop services costs per project, including shipping, installation, dismantle, drayage, electrical, AV, etc. 

  • Crete change order estimates.

  • Vendors 'RFPs (request for proposals).

  • Communicate with existing and new vendors to obtain materials, elements, and services costs.

  • Proposal timeline and deadlines.

  • New materials and vendor research.

  • Maintain estimate catalog into internal Data Base.

  • Recommend the most cost-efficient materials and fabrication methods.

  • Work directly with the sales team on estimates and proposal requirements.

  • Create a bill of materials and vendor list for each estimate after the project is sold.

  • Manage contribution margins based on expectation rates.

  • Responsible to maintain the internal estimating schedule for projects.

  • Assist with material purchasing.

 

Experience & Skills

  • Experience estimating custom design & fabrication projects.

  • CAD user is a plus.

  • Excellent English writing skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Understands methods of fabrication and man-hours required to build.

  • Excellent vendor relationships.

  • Understand blueprints and 3D Design.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Advanced skills in blueprint reading.

  • Teamwork.

  • Attention to detail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
