Exhibit Assembly Assistant

Role

The responsibility of the warehouse associate is to preview exhibits and displays, pull and prepare exhibit properties and prepare an accurate shipping manifest. Warehouse employees also maintain warehouse in an organized fashion and perform in-shop set ups as requested. Other responsibilities include ; physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of crates and packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling, etc. in a safe and efficient manner. Also the warehouse associate must have forklift experience.

Warehouse Duties

  • Pull from storage and prepare exhibits for outbound shipments.

  • Assist with inventory of trade show exhibits and displays.

  • Assist with the installation and dismantle of exhibits to be shipped.

  • Work from blue print set-up drawings and work orders.

  • Label parts and materials to be shipped to each trade show.

  • Forklift work (only if candidate is certified to drive forklift).

  • Inspect inbound shipments and record any damage on Inbound Inspection Report.

  • Perform warehouse work within budgetary and time constraints.

  • Ensure maintenance of forklifts and warehouse facilities.

  • Document and inform appropriate personnel of graphic damage.

  • Maintain adequate records for continuous improvement.

  • Provide safety training to new warehouse personnel and adhere to corporate policies.

  • Complete Time Cards and submit to Operations Manager.

 

Requirements

  • Drug test required.

  • Dependable.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience and forklift operations.

  • Organizational Skills.

  • Knowledge of loading and shipping procedures.

  • Skills to install exhibits from part list, drawings and blue prints.

Experience and Skills

  • Warehouse experience.

  • Excellent forklift driving skills.

  • Ability to communicate with all departments in a diplomatic and constructive manner.

  • 2-5 years of warehouse experience and forklift operations.

  • Organizational Skills.

  • Knowledge of loading and shipping procedures.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Experience in shipping, receiving and inventory processes.

  • Handyman/Carpentry skills a plus.

  • Computer skills-Outlook,Word,Excel.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule.

  • Effectively use hand and power tools,and operate a forklift.

  • Lift a minimum of 75 pounds.

  • Forklift certification is a must.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Compensation

  • Salary $20.00 Hour - $23.00 Hour.

  • 40 hours per week.

  • Full Time - Steady work (Not seasonal).
