About this position

 

The Project Manager role is to deliver all jobs on time and budget effectively. Works in partnership with the account team acting as a hub for workflow and communication for the design and production aspects of projects. Manage and coordinate with all vendors. Oversee all blueprints, cost estimates, fabrication, and delivery of exhibits and displays including the final installation and dismantle of each exhibit project. The project manager is always performing a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.

Main Responsibilities

  • +5 years of experience as a project manager.

  • Responsible for delivering jobs on time, budget and within expectations.

  • Keep all jobs within budget.

  • Single point-of-contact for sales, account managers and on-site supervisors with production-related questions on projects.

  • Initiate each project production launch process.

  • Run and schedule production meetings ensuring that the team has received the information and resources needed to do the work.

  • Approve all construction drawings before production begins.

  • Create and maintain change orders, keep all documentation in order.

  • Participate in client planning or job-related calls.

  • Oversee quality control.

  • Create inventory and shipping manifests.

  • Inbound inspection/damage report process.

  • Purchasing of specific materials and services.

  • Travel for on-site supervision as needed and travel to client meetings if required.

  • Participate in the estimate process including all services.

Skills

  • Knowledge of standard fabrication tools and techniques and blueprints.

  • Manage an extensive vendor network.

  • CAD user a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Collaboration software, and Project Management software and techniques.

  • Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to lead all project members towards the project completion.

  • Experience managing budgets and change order process.

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines.

  • Able to travel for client presentation and show site installation.

  • Teamwork.

  • Attention to detail.

Relationship with other departments

The project manager will be responsible to manage the fabrication of specific and assigned jobs and will coordinate this projects with the following departments :

  • Sales.

  • Account Management.

  • 3D Exhibit Design.

  • Detailing & Engineering.

  • Graphic Production.

  • Warehouse.

  • Shipping and Receiving.

  • Onsite Installation.

  • External Vendors.

Hours

From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Occasional overtime may be required. We know how essential weekends are for friends and family. While our fabrication volume may need occasional overtime work and occasionally during weekends, this is something we try to avoid. We try to plan schedules around balancing work and family life.

Compensation

IGE provides a good work environment, competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Travel :  10% to 25%.
